Some basic FAQs regarding what I expect for research papers and presentations
Q. Can I use internet sources?
A. You cannot internet sources for any text or references. You must use 'paper journals' and books. There are many many reasons for this, to name but one check this,this,this. However, you may use internet sources for images, but these must be AT LEAST - 600 pixels wide and 500 pixels. These are visually important classes - don't use poor quality images it will result in a lower grade being given.

Q. Do I have to make citations and references?
A. Absolutely. Use MLA guides for citations and check the university's guides.

Q. What is plagiarism and does it matter?
A. Check the university's academic honesty policy (section 9), and guides. I take plagiarism seriously, therefore before you plagiarise read MSU's policy, because I take it very seriously.

Q. I can't find anything on X artist (not even on youtube or wikipedia!) what do I do and can I use the internet?
A. Go to the library website homepage and then select the 'art abstracts' selection in the 'select a database' field under 'quick links'. You're certain to find something in there. As for the internet, still no.
